Wingmen

"Wingmen"

Wingmen is the title of the fun new acrylic on 10x8" canvas which features three vibrant cardinals perched on a summer birch tree. There's a hint of autumn in the air as the sky is filled with cadmium yellow which gives this piece a bright visual punch. A wingman, as you may know, is what guys frequently call a close friend, someone who has their back, someone they can call in the middle of the night and they'll be there. Friends like this are hard to come by in life, but I've found one in the cardinal, through the past six years they've been there, always appearing on the canvas and getting the job done even during the tough times. They'll never go out of style, they light up the canvas, and they've got my back. And when they call, everybody listens.
