Today's paintings are titled
Return to Schmidt Lake Nos. 1 & 2, and they each weigh in at 6"w x 6"h. These two colorful cardinals are perched on golden birch at a secret lake in northern Minnesota. Lately I've been looking at some of my older work, and appreciating the simple colors and forms of the compositions as I was exploring my painting style and pushing the limits. Sometimes it's good to reflect on where you've been, and to view the memories of the past and return to what's familiar, and that's a couple of cardinals amongst colorful golden birch.
