This delightful painting currently available at Sivertson Gallery in Grand Marais, MN is one of those paintings that makes you smile. I'm not sure what the cardinal on the left is saying, I'll leave that for the viewer to decide ... perhaps recalling tales of a Christopher Robin and a silly old bear named Pooh that lived in the hundred acre wood from his childhood. Whatever he's saying, he sure has some active listeners. Sunny and 74 in Duluth today, how am I supposed to paint on a day like today? Perhaps I'll do a little hiking with the kids, the woods beckons ... but alas, so does the brush and canvas ... :)
